The
"Song-Bidding" Process
Can't afford our rates? Read on to find out how to "bid" on
your song demo! |
We understand that not everyone can
afford to pay our advertised rates to have their song produced. But
at Demo My Song, we are committed to helping lyric and songwriters realize
their musical potential. So, in an effort to be inclusive to ALL
in search of a great recording of their song, regardless of budget, we
decided to roll-out what we call the "song-bidding"
process.
Here's how it works:
We employ the services of many talented producers. When we receive
an order, one of the first things we do is match your song with the best
producer for the job given the genre requested, your various production
requests, and his or her production strengths. Most of the time, our
producers stay quite busy fulfilling the orders we receive. However,
every once in a while they may have some down time. If at that
point, they would like extra work, they refer to our "song queue."
What is the "song queue?"
The "song queue" is a full list of all of our prospective
clients who came to us looking for a recording of their song, but ultimately
decided that our rates were beyond their desired price-range. When
this occurs, they can add their name to our "song queue" and
actually bid on our services. You can literally tell us what a great
recording of your song is worth to you based on what you can afford.
We then add your song info to our "song queue," the details of which
we make available to all the producers on our staff. If one of our producers
finds your bid satisfactory, they will produce your song.
Drawbacks?
Due to the nature of our business, there is no guarantee
that your bid will ever be accepted by one of our producers. You
could bid too low and your song might never get produced by us. Or,
you might bid at a time when we have a heavy work-load and our producers
are hard at work fulfilling "full-price" orders in which case
you could wait many months even if your bid is reasonable.
As mentioned earlier, when we receive a normal order, we
match your song with the best possible producer for that project.
While we have full confidence in the abilities of all our producers,
when ordering through the "song-bidding" process, there is
no guarantee as to which of our producers will produce your song should one of
them accept your bid.
Can I "up" my existing bid?
Absolutely, we allow you to increase the amount of your
bid as often as every two weeks. If you have waited more than two
weeks and none of our producers has expressed interest, we encourage you
to do so as this increases your chances of getting your song produced.
Some things to keep in mind while bidding:
Recording music in a professional studio in never
cheap. We feel that our
existing rates are fair both to the client and our producers in that the
client receives a GREAT recording of their song while the producer is able
to make a living sharing their expertise and craftsmanship. While,
we encourage you to bid whatever you want, we do ask that you bid as
fairly as possible bearing in mind that, the more you bid, the more likely
it is that your bid will be accepted and that YOUR producer can afford to put in the time necessary to
produce an excellent song for you!
