Cancellation of Order:
If for some reason, you wish to cancel your order, and we have not begun working on your project, we are happy to issue you a full refund, no questions asked.

Request for Refund After Production Has Begun:

If you request a refund any time after production has begun, you will be refunded the full purchase amount minus a non-refundable deposit of $125 or 25 percent of the purchase amount, which ever is less.

Request for Refund After Project Completion:

When your project is completed, we will email you a “watermarked” mp3 for your approval and comment. Once we have received written or verbal confirmation that you have received the mp3, you will then have ten days to let us know how we did either by feedback form, email, or phone.

If you are totally satisfied with our work, we will remove the watermark* and mail your completed CD to you within the next 1-2 business days unless you opted for “electronic-delivery,” in which case your .wav file and mp3 will be available for download right away.

*This is for our protection and ensures that you cannot later use the tracks we produced for you should you choose to request a refund.

Limitations:

No refunds will be granted if the request is made more than 10 days after acknowledging receipt of the watermarked mp3.

No refunds may be issued after your CD has been mailed, or we have sent you your full quality (not watermarked) track electronically.

Copyright as it relates to our Refund Policy:

Whatever you initially send us, whether just lyrics, a melody, or a fully written song, the elements that you composed will always remain your property.

If you request a refund after receiving the watermarked mp3 from us, you forfeit your ownership of the recording. This means that if you order a “song-recording package” from us, receive your mp3, and then request a refund, you will not be permitted to use the recording, nor the arrangements created by Demo My song for any purpose whatsoever.

You will however, still retain the copyright of your song provided we did not co-write the song with you. (see below for further clarification).

What are my options if I like the recording but would like to address some issues.

If you are displeased in any way with your final product, we will do our very best to fix it at no additional cost to you. If in the event that we are unable to meet your requests or if you are still dissatisfied with the final product after we attempted to re-work it, we are happy to issue you a refund of your full purchase amount minus a non-refundable deposit of $125 or 25 percent of the purchase amount, which ever is less.

What does it mean to “fix” or “re-work” my song?

This could mean anything from fixing a botched lyric, to changing a hook, to trying out a new vocalist. Basically, any change to the original recording. We try to be as accommodating as possible, but some requests do necessitate an additional charge. An example would include requests to add new elements to your song such as backing vocals or strings or trying out a new set of lyrics. Examples of changes not necessitating an additional charge would include, re-recording a botched lyric, or fixing an improperly transcribed melody line, etc.

What do you mean, “co-write” my song?

This applies to any client who orders “songwriting services” from us meaning that we are being hired to write music for your lyrics, or construct a chord progression for your melody. If you if you cancel your order at any time or request a refund after you have received your mp3, this will null our copyright agreement.

This means that if you order “songwriting services” from us in addition to a “song-recording package,” receive your mp3, and then request a refund, you will not be permitted to use the recording for any purpose whatsoever nor may you claim any ownership of the song or the recording. You may only claim ownership of those elements originally sent to us like say for instance, your lyrics, or your acapella vocal melody.

What are my options if I am unhappy with the recording, and would like a full refund.

If you are absolutely positive you don’t want us to take another crack at it, we will issue you a refund of your full purchase amount minus a non-refundable deposit of $125 or 25 percent of the purchase amount, which ever is less provided you have not been sent your CD and/or downloaded your full quality .wav or mp3, your request for refund is made within ten days of receiving your watermarked mp3 and you agree to our copyright policy as it relates to refunds. (see above)
